Laura Ingalls Wilder Days is a two-day festival in September celebrating the life and times of Laura Ingalls Wilder. They feature a “Laura Contest” to determine who most closely identifies with Laura. There is also a very popular Fiddle Contest and many other activities. Entertainment for the whole family. 2020 event dates are September 12th and 13th!
The Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum features many items Laura and her family would have recognized and recalls the era in which she lived. Complete with gift shop, the museum is open 10 AM – 5 PM DAILY (including weekends & holidays) from May 1st thru the last Sunday in October. The museum is located at 306 3rd Street (State Hwy 35), also known as “The Great River Road.”
