The banjos are BACK!
The Midwest Banjo Fest is celebrating its 57th anniversary in 2021!. After a brief beginning in the Twin Cities, this riverboat banjo event quickly moved to La Crosse – a city that has a profound Mississippi River history, especially of steamboats carrying passengers, merchandise and musicians who performed on the boats.
Banjo players and other musicians from all parts of the United States, Canada and Japan have attended this musical extravaganza. From Friday night through Sunday night “The banjos are back in town”, entertaining as only they can.
You’ll hear amateurs and professionals providing musical memories at several La Crosse locations. The main jamboree will be held Saturday evening at the historic Concordia Ballroom – a facility that has a long record of hosting La Crosse social events!
