Celebrate the Mississippi!

The new Upper Mississippi River Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America is hosting its first public event, and all are invited to participate. In following with our chapter mission to conserve, restore, and sustain the Upper Mississippi River for future generations, we invite all who care for the great out of doors to come to Goose Island and play, learn, exercise, and get involved in the ongoing activities in our section of the Mississippi River.

Activities to include: Canoeing, Kids Fishing, Save Our Streams Citizen Science Demonstration, Mussels of the Mississippi Display, Outdoor Digital Photography Contest, Floodplain Forest Interpretive Hike, and Frisbee Disc Golf. All this and everything that Goose Island Campground has to offer in a one day, family friendly event.
