Day One

Located right in the heart of historic downtown La Crosse, Fayze’s has created a tradition of mouthwatering recipes and flavors to suit any style. The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe Tour

The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe will forever be a spiritual destination for visitors from all over the world. The Shrine is nestled in on over 100 acres of God’s Country in the Mississippi River Valley. In addition to the many beautiful chapels, statues, gardens, and devotional areas, the Shrine has a full service café and gift shop open daily. Admission is always free and the public is welcome

Tour of Grandad Bluff

Grandad Bluff has become not only a destination point for thousands, but also a symbol of this great Coulee Region. La Crosse’s recent renovation (completed in April of 2012) showed the importance and grandeur of Grandad Bluff to all who visit. Grandad Bluff is a city park located by following Main Street east which becomes Bliss Road as you ascend the bluff. At the top, the entrance is found by turning right on Grandad Bluff Road. The 600-ft high bluff overlooks the city of La Crosse. The view of the Mississippi River Valley includes the three states of Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. Wisconsin Trails readers voted this “the most scenic view in the state”. The park features a shelter house, coin-operated binoculars, picnic areas and is the site of the annual Skyrocker`s New Year`s Eve Fireworks Show

Tour of Dahl Auto Museum

The Dahl Auto Museum includes an illustrated timeline of the Dahl Automotive five generation history with Ford Motor Company. Approximately 20 antique and classic cars are on display to highlight each decade from Dahl Automotive inception in 1911. To incorporate historic La Crosse, the museum also features a re-creation of the Starlite Drive-in Theatre. 100 Years old, Dahl Automotive is the ninth-oldest family owned Ford dealership in the nation and currently operates dealerships in La Crosse and Onalaska, WI as well as Winona, MN

Historic or Dark La Crosse Trolley Tour

The historic trolley tour trip begins downtown at the La Crosse County Convention and Visitors Bureau in Riverside Park. Enjoy the scenery of La Crosse while relaxing on the air-conditioned trolley bus. The bright red trolley bus is a nostalgic re-creation of the types of vehicles that traversed the streets of La Crosse in days gone by. Enjoy interesting narration provided by the La Crosse County Historical Society as you tour historic neighborhoods and establishments

Hixon House and Historic La Crosse Homes Tour

The Hixon House is a home once owned by a prominent lumber baron in La Crosse dating back to 1858. The Italianate configuration and interior portrays an authentic picture of late Victorian life.

Castle La Crosse is located in the historic Holway Mansion of La Crosse, Wisconsin. This spectacular residence is lovingly known as the “Castle.” Notice the fine architectural details including its all-stone exterior. Designed in Queen Anne with Richardson Romanesque details for Mr. Holway in 1892, Castle La Crosse is the best-preserved example of high-style late 19th century residential architecture in the region

La Crosse Queen Paddlewheeler Riverboat Cruise for Lunch

The La Crosse Queen is a modern day replica of the grand riverboats which used to ply the Mississippi in the early 1900s. She is one of the few “true” paddlewheelers still in operation in the country today. In keeping with early traditions, she was built with stern wheels which are her only means of propulsion.
