Apollo Music Festival / AMF

The Apollo Music Festival (AMF) returns in August. Hosted by the Community of Houston, MN since 2013, AMF is an annual classical chamber music festival that features an ensemble of international musicians. Apollo Music festival concerts take place at a variety of locations including Rochester, Winona, and LaCrosse. Repertoire highlights include mixed ensembles of strings, piano, and double reeds (oboe, bassoon), and repertoire of Mozart, Schubert, Bridge, Poulenc, as well as highlighting women composers and composers of color: Bacewicz, Beach, Walker, and Irene Britton Smith.

Other festival events include student masterclasses, recitals, pre-concert talks, and interactive events at the Houston Bandshell, Houston Public Library, and Cross of Christ. All events are free and open to the public. AMF is presented by Chamber Music Live, a non-profit, arts-presenting entity organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, in partnership with the Houston Arts Resource Council.
