Over 200 miles of routes that include tunnels, wildlife and back to nature experiences. Our downtown offers a rich history, with a diverse blend of merchants that offer a bit of everything. Our Deke Slayton Memorial Bicycle and Space Museum has the only moon rock in the state.

Memorial Parks aquatic center offers a huge water slide and lazy river. You’ll find ball diamonds, tennis courts, ice rink, hockey arena, playgrounds, sheltered picnic areas, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking around the park. Beaver Creek, Perch Lake and the La Crosse River offer excellent fishing and paddling opportunities for those that like to play in the water.

Established in 1941, the Chamber office is located in a 100 year old train depot along the Elroy-Sparta Trail with information on biking trails, shopping, over 15,000 acres of public access lands to bike, fish, hunt and canoe.
