La Crosse Region!

As the colors begin to change along the ancient bluff sides, the Region’s vibrancy continues to burst. When you’re ready, visit famous overlooks of the Mississippi River highlighted in reds, oranges, and yellows. Check out the many shops, coffee shops, fine eateries, supper clubs, orchards, and wineries our Region has to offer!

Weekly Fall Color Updates

September 15: The bluffs are starting to shift in waves of lighter greens and yellows, with the occasional orange leaf sneaking through. While much of the La Crosse Region is still blanketed in rich green, the signs of fall are slowly arriving. With the warm, summer-like weather hanging on, it’s the perfect time to sneak in those last-minute hikes, bike rides, or days on the water. We can’t wait to see the bluffs burst into their golden autumn glow!

September 8th: Last week’s cool, fall-like weather gave us just a taste of autumn, but it was short-lived! This week brings back plenty of sunshine and warm afternoons, perfect for getting outside and soaking it in. The bluffs are beginning to shift, with lighter greens showing hints of change, but full fall color is still on the horizon.

September 3rd: The leaves are still a lively mix of dark and light greens as we head into September, but with the recent cool spell, you may notice a few trees beginning their fall color transition. Now is the perfect time to get outside for a hike, with crisp mornings that give way to warm, sunny afternoons. We can’t wait for the full burst of fall colors and cozy weather to arrive soon!
