Birds of Prey Event – Second Nature at Reads Creek Nursery

Back by popular demand, we will have River Valley Raptors on the gift shop steps for a live meet and greet with several of the raptors they care for. Geared toward people of all ages, this engaging presentation will help you learn about the unique features of the birds. You will have a chance to ask questions, look at unique artifacts, and even take photos with the birds at the end. Come early for lunch with Dave’s Pizza and then a sweet treat from Ice Cream on 14!

WHAT TO BRING: Due to the large turnout the last few years, we encourage you to bring a folding chair or blanket for the kids to sit on if you can. We will have room on the gift shop steps and some picnic tables, but last year was standing room only! Bring your swimsuits and swim in the creek before or after the presentation, bring a picnic lunch to eat on the beach before the show, and enjoy some time in the greenhouse, nursery grounds and gift shop while the kids play in the sand. Make a day of it!
