John Prine Tribute Concert

Tickets are on sale now for Souvenirs, A John Prine Tribute Concert presented by the Don Harvey Duo. The performance is Saturday, September 7 at 7:00 pm at the Pump House Regional Arts Center at 119 King Street in Downtown La Crosse. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.

John Prine is widely cited as one of the most influential songwriters of his generation. He produced 26 albums, garnering 5 Grammy Awards. Prine is remembered for his unique and often humorous lyrics about life, love, and current events. His songwriting attracted many artists, like George Strait and Don Williams, for whom he wrote number 1 country hits.

The Don Harvey Duo presents Souvenirs as a tribute to ‘the Mark Twain of songwriting’. They don’t pretend to look like John Prine or even sound like John, but the passion and love for his music comes through in each performance. Audiences will hear iconic songs like “Angel from Montgomery”, “Illegal Smile”, and “In Spite of Ourselves” like they’ve never heard them before.

Doors open at 6:00 pm. Seating begins at 6:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased online at thepumphouse.org, by calling 608-785-1434, or by visiting the Pump House Box office at 119 King Street in La Crosse. The box office is open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturdays. Hours extend to 7:00 pm on Tuesdays. Tickets are also available at the door.
