On this adventure, you will spend the day exploring west of the Mississippi River in Minnesota. The La Crosse region offers a unique blend of natural beauty, outdoor recreation, and small-town charm that makes it worth a visit. This is a fairly relaxed half-day adventure that involves a scenic drive and hiking in a state park with two stops to eat.

Apple Blossom Scenic Drive

This scenic drive starts in La Crescent and travels the magnificent bluff landscape of southern Minnesota through the apple orchards. La Crescent is the Apple Capital of Minnesota. Even if you don’t catch the apple blossoms, there are multiple beautiful viewpoints. PC @goingandexploring

Swing Bridge Pub

After spending the day exploring Apple Blossom Scenic Drive and the vineyard if it’s open, end the day with a meal and a drink at the Swing Bridge Pub. Swing Bridge Pub has awesome happy hour deals, beers and cocktails, and a great food menu. The staff were very friendly and the inside of the pub was very relaxed. PC @goingandexploring
