Join us at the National Eagle Center on Thursday, May 14th at 11:00 a.m. in the Riverfront Amphitheater for a historic First Day Issue Ceremony for the US Postal Service’s “Bald Eagle: Hatchling to Adult” stamp celebrating our National Bird! 2026 is the 250th Anniversary of the United States and Wabasha was selected as the location as the “Bald Eagle Capital of America”. These gorgeous stamps were designed by Derry Noyes and feature original paintings by preeminent ornithologist, illustrator and field guide author David Allen Sibley.
The ceremony is free to attend and the stamps will be available for purchase. Collectors will be able to get coveted “first day cancel” for their collections. Additionally, specially designed covers from the National Eagle Center will also be available for purchase. JOIN US!
