Come and help us celebrate Veteran’s Day and honor those who’ve served in a program of patriotic-themed music. Our featured soloist is Musician 1st class Matthew Yee, outstanding euphonium player from the U.S. Coast Guard Band. He’ll be performing Yasuhide Ito’s virtuosic Fantasy Variations. The rest of the program features works by John Philip Sousa, Morton Gould, Gustav Holst, Robert Jager, Claude T. Smith, Ryan Nowlin and Samuel Augustus Ward.
The La Crosse Wind Symphony is an adult concert band serving the tri-state area and is directed by Jeff Krauklis. Made up of some of the region’s finest musicians, their mission is to foster interest in and promote wind band music to its members and audiences through the use of high quality wind repertoire in a wide range of musical styles. Concerts are free, though donations are gratefully accepted.
