A Game of Values: What Matters Most to You at the End of Life

No one wants to think about death. But we do want to think about living life as the unique individuals we are; we want to think about our loved ones and ensuring that they are both cared for and unburdened; we want to feel accomplished and proud and satisfied with our lives at the moment that they end. This session will use games, discussion, and reflection to
understand what makes life meaningful for us at all costs and what we would value at the very end. We will learn how to share these choices with others, including those who may ultimately be responsible for acting on our behalf, so that they can make the decisions that allow us to live fully and die well.

Presenter Bio:
Arielle Friedtanzer, M.A., has spent the last six years trying to convince people of all ages that talking about death will not make it happen any sooner. Trained as an interfaith chaplain with a background in Judaic Studies, Bioethics, and Social Work, Arielle has offered countless opportunities to individuals of all ages and backgrounds to explore their experiences with advanced-care planning, loss, death, and grief.
