Civil War Experience

Company B 2nd Wisconsin Civil War reenactors bring history to life during the Civil War Experience event held on the grounds of Norskedalen.  Each year, the second weekend of October sees Norskedalen transform into a Civil War battlefield where reenactors portray military drills and battles all the while sharing their knowledge about life during the era as soldiers and civilians.

The event will take place on October 14, 2023, with skirmishes scheduled for 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. 

At 10 a.m., there will be an Artillery Drill. You can enjoy the Regimental Volunteer Band of Wisconsin at 11:30 in camp.  Demonstrations will be held at noon, 12:30 and 1 p.m., finishing with a second concert by the Regimental Volunteer Bank of Wisconsin.  Lunch will be served by the Coon Valley Emergency Response Team with lunch proceeds going to help support their work.
