Join us on June 15th, 2024 at the Riverside Park Bandshell (10am to 12pm), as La Crosse County ADRC commemorates World Elder Abuse Awareness Day with a community event focused on raising awareness and fostering support for older adults.

This FREE event will feature:
• An awareness walk around the scenic Riverside Park north loop to show your support
• Live music from the Grumpy Old Man Band at the Riverside Bandshell
• Select vendors offering coffee, drinks, and baked goods
• Informational booths from community partners, including the ADRC, YMCA, and Drift Cycle
• Don’t forget to wear purple, the color of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day!

Our main goal is to bring awareness to the issue of elder abuse in our own community and empower individuals to take action. Learn how you can recognize signs of abuse, offer support, and where to reach out to report concerns.
We encourage everyone to come together to learn, connect, and make a difference in the lives of older adults. Let’s create a stronger, safer community for all ages!
