From its beginnings as the ancestral home of the Ho-Chunk nation to its present day status as a business, educational and health care hub on Wisconsin’s west coast,  La Crosse has a rich and varied history.  This tour experience covers the length and breadth of the city with step-offs at the Heritage Center Museum and the historic Hixon House, along with a visit to the north side which includes a wine-tasting at DnA Vintners, a sampling of food from The Damn Tasty, and a surprise treat from a Northside landmark! *This tour starts as a walking tour that is 2 blocks from Explore La Crosse to the Heritage Center. The sidewalk is mostly flat along Main Street. The Trolley will be available for transportation to the Heritage Center if needed.
