La Crosse New Music Festival

Three nights of music by living composers!
Wednesday night: UWL student ensembles and chamber groups perform a range of pieces, including an elegy by our recently departed colleague, David Phipps.
Thursday night: Grammy-winning soprano Sarah Brailey and cellist Caleb van der Swaagh will present very new music for voice and cello. This will be a concert you will not forget.
Friday night: UWL faculty and guests perform music a wide variety of pieces, including music by women composers performed by Jonathan Borja and Mary Tollefson, and the premiere of a work for trumpet and electronics performed by new faculty member, Jon Ailabouni.
All concerts are free and open to the public and start at 7:30 p.m.
