Trail Mix Races

Camp Decorah is located north of Holmen Wisconsin on the scenic Black River located in the heart of the Driftless Region. This is the first time ever that this unique 350-acre Scout Camp property is open to racing. Camp Decorah is the origin of the Bluffland Traverse, a point to point route running from the northern end of La Crosse County to the southern end following the Mississippi River and the Bluffs that overlook it.

This race offers trail runs and mountain bike racing through a property with a northwoods feel located amongst the bluffs and rivers of the Driftless. The race course loops through beauitiful Camp Decorah offering a blend of single track & double track trails and a trail run that meanders through majestic white pines. Expect gentle elevation changes and a course finish overlooking the Black River as you wind through iconic summer camp sights.

The weekend’s events will have something for everyone from novice to expert.
Unique offerings include a FREE kids race (12 and under) and a family fun fest to include the Bouldering Wall, Nature Center, Archery, Crafts, Outdoor Skills, and more. It also includes a pancake breakfast and lunch options will be offered on site. Our spacious property will offer music, picnic tables, food options, port-a-potties, air-conditioned buildings, and on-site first aid. We invite you to relax and enjoy the property before and after your race.

All registrants will receive a performance short sleeve t-shirt, swag bag and a race bib. All finishers wearing a race bib will receive a finishers medal. A unique award will be presented to the top male finisher and top female finisher in each age bracket.
19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Proceeds from the Trail Mix Race Series support Camp Decorah maintenance and a variety of youth programs offered at Camp Decorah to the community.

7:15 a.m. The Classic Trail Run (5 miles)
9:00 a.m. Chunky Monkey Mix bike Race (5 miles)
10:00 a.m. Tropical Mix Bike Race (10 miles)
11:30 a.m. Give me S’More Mix Bike Race (15 miles)
1:00 p.m. Monster Mix Bike Race (20 miles)

Friday night options will include a pre-ride on the race route, kids signmaking workshop, SMORES at the firebowl, and camping.
