Spend an afternoon in Pettibone Park with the family. You can walk along the banks of the Mississippi River across the bridge from downtown La Crosse, WI. With plenty of picnic tables and an open park there are many great spots for a picnic. You can also head over to Pettibone Boat Club for some great eats!

Take a stroll along the Mississippi River through Pettibone Park. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the river flowing past you as you look across the main channel toward downtown La Crosse. Keep your eyes peeled for migratory birds and turtles sunbathing on the logs in the river. Bring a picnic if you wish.

Pettibone Beach
Soak up the sun on the banks of the Mississippi River with great views of downtown La Crosse. With a great beach house for changing, you can just pack your swimsuits in the car. There is parking conveniently located right at the beach house that contains restrooms and showers. Be sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen.

Pettibone Boat Club
Finish up your afternoon with some great food and drinks at Pettibone Boat Club. Take in the beautiful views from their patio or glass-walled main room. With a diverse menu there is something to please every member of the family. The atmosphere on the patio is incredibly relaxing as you enjoy the Mississippi River flowing past.
