Driving
Conveniently located midway between Milwaukee and the Twin Cities, directly off I-90 and and just 40 miles west of I-94, La Crosse, WI, is your perfect hub for exploring the region. Family fun, arts & culture, outdoor activities, sports & entertainment–this area has access to it all. Make La Crosse home base for your whole trip, or just stop in for a day or two on your way to someplace else–we’ll be glad to see you!
Amtrak Services
Hop on or off the Amtrak at the La Crosse Depot, conveniently located along the Mississippi River and nestled between the rolling bluffs of the Driftless Region. The new Borealis Train runs daily between St. Paul/Minneapolis and Chicago, with one train heading south and another north, making it easy to explore the area.
Airport
The La Crosse Regional Airport is located on French Island, a central location in our region. This airport offers close parking, easy check-in, convenient daily flights to major hubs, free WiFi, and a comfortable atmosphere to make your travel experience a pleasure.
Shuttle Bus Company
Ready Bus Company operates new and modern fleet of motorcoaches, school buses and vans. They have 24 and 28 passenger minicoaches, and 47 and 55 passenger motorcoaches. They are centrally located in the Midwest, with professional drivers who can be trusted on.
City Public Bus
The City Bus Line provides safe and convenient public transportation services to the La Crosse Region. Their service area includes La Crosse, French Island, a portion of Onalaska, and La Crescent, MN. The service is owned and operated by the City of La Crosse.
