La Crosse Historic Syrian/Lebanese Northside Walking Tour

Free La Crosse Historic Syrian/Lebanese Northside Walking Tour . Come learn about the lives of Syrian/Lebanese families and their history in La Crosse, Wisconsin since the 1890s. The businesses, churches, relationships, and organizations these families built in the face of anti-immigrant backlash has come to make La Crosse the city it is today. The tour is one hour and thirty minutes, covers approximately one mile, and is filled with stories of survival, sorrow, humor, and hope. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water to sip on along the way. Tour starts in front of Saint Elias Antiochian Orthodox Church at 10am on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Dr. Richard M.
