International Women’s Day Celebration 2025 Set for Tuesday, March 4, 2025

La Crosse, WI: The International Women’s Day Committee invites members of the La Crosse community and beyond to a celebration of International Women’s Day on Tuesday, March 4th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm CT.

The celebration will consist of a panel discussion with a special emphasis on supporting and accelerating gender equality around the globe. Panelists will include Shreya Regami representing Nepal, Mejtap Eklund representing Turkey, and… After the panelists speak, time will be set aside for questions from the audience. This year’s celebration will take place in the Bluffs Room of the Student Union on the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL) campus and is free to the public. Free parking will be available in Lot C-12 (by the Cleary Center) or on the campus streets (16th, 17th, or Farwell – around the ramp). International Women’s Day is celebrated in countries around the world each year on March 8th. The theme for the 2025 International Women’s Day is #AccelerateAction: Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality. Collectively for #IWD2025 we can all #AccelerateAction.
