Field Day is a combination of a picnic, campout, emergency preparedness exercise, and a formal contest, all focused on amateur radio. ARRL member clubs and community members operate from temporary stations, practicing emergency communications and demonstrating the capabilities of amateur radio. Anyone interested may participate.

At or around 7:00 P.M., following dining plans, banjo fest musicians will have an informal afterglow jam session in The Freighthouse Bar to appropriately finish the weekend’s celebration, and say farewell until next year.
