Get On the Water 

Spend some time enjoying the rivers of the La Crosse region. You can take a boat, kayak, or canoe along the backwaters of the Mississippi River and enjoy the Black River on the water or on foot. Grab lunch at any number of great lunch spots, and finish your night enjoying the sunset on the bluffs of the Mississippi River. PC @Elliot

Start your day off by exploring the backwaters of the Mississippi River around Goose Island County Park. Located just south of La Crosse, you can access the river with your boat, kayak, or canoe at either the South Boat Ramp or North Boat Ramp. I recommend using the North Boat Ramp if you are on a kayak or canoe. If you plan to traverse the whole trail, be sure to allow yourself about 4 hours. PC @Elliot

After your morning on the water, enjoy a filling meal and refreshments at the Pettibone Boat Club across from downtown. Situated along the picturesque riverfront, Pettibone Boat Club offers a unique blend of exquisite dining experiences and convenient boating amenities.
