West Salem Historical Society

West Salem Historical Society is a nonprofit organization to preserve the heritage of West Salem and the immediate area.  There are three historical homes you can tour, monthly newsletters and over 2,000 members in 43 states, Washington D.C., and Sweden.

An annual event, Garland Days, held each September, celebrates the life of this community’s favorite son.  Christmas In July is another favorite annual event.

The West Salem Historical Society has three homes open for tours from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  Monday through Friday 10am to 4pm, or other times by appointment.

Admission is free, but donations are accepted
