Fair Maps Hearing – Tuesday, October 14 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Viterbo University, Nursing School, Lecture Hall 195 Main Floor
You are invited to attend this important hearing, hosted by the League of Women Voters and led by the Wisconsin Fair Maps Coalition (FMC). Doors open at 5:00 pm. Snacks and beverages provided.
Wisconsin currently has fair voting maps, but these maps will only be in place until 2030 when the next census takes place. Wisconsin needs a PERMANENT redistricting process to ensure neither political party can gerrymander in the future. The main goal of this community hearing is to establish an Independent Redistricting Commission (IRC) in our state.
The FMC wants to hear from folks around the state to answer their questions about the draft for fair maps legislation and to get public input.
