Between the Bluffs: Beer, Wine & Cheese Festival – Saturday, April 28
Beer, Wine and Cheese. It’s a Wisconsinite’s dream combination. Celebrated each spring in La Crosse, this favorite event is one of the city’s most popular festivals. Here’s what you should know before you shine up your stein and head to the beer tent
The party starts early.
The fun kicks off on Friday night with Taster’s Eve. Enjoy drink specials from 5-11pm thanks to local establishments and vendor partners who have teamed up to bring fest goers a budget-friendly night out. Plus, ticket holders (and their buddies, for only $5) can also use the free shuttle that will loop between stops.
There will be bacon.
After a long day on Saturday, you’ll need to refuel at the Bacon Bloody Brunch on Sunday. Have some delicious bacon and pancakes, while listening to some live music. If you need a little hair of the dog, there will also be beermosas and of course, delicious Bloody Marys.
You can be a VIP.
If you’re lucky enough to snag a VIP ticket, you’ll get all the fun of general admission and more! This purchase gets you on-site parking, admission to the Brewer’s Reception on Friday night, a special gift, access to the VIP tent and best of all, first chance at sampling. That’s right, VIPs are allowed into the festival at 12pm prior to general admission at 2pm.
Safety is top priority.
With close proximity to an assortment of downtown lodging options, festers don’t have to leave town after a day of sampling. There’s also a shuttle available as a responsible transportation option. And no underage drinking is allowed. A valid 21+ ID is required to enter the grounds, no exceptions.
Your glass is for sampling.
Entry to the festival comes with a complimentary, commemorative sampling glass for you to use throughout the day. Expect pours to be 2 ounces or less for beer and 1 ounce or less for wine. You can have as many samples as you’d like, but keep in mind that intoxicated patrons may be asked to leave.
