Touch a Truck

The Onalaska Parks & Recreation Dept. is thrilled to announce that we will be hosting our 3rd annual Touch A Truck event on Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 10:00am until 12:00pm. The event will take place in the Onalaska Omni Center parking lot for kids of all ages! Gundersen AIR will be landing their helicopter at 11:00am! The event is FREE to everyone, but we do ask that you consider bringing a non-perishable food item to donate to the Onalaska Food Pantry.
Our Touch A Truck event will provide a fun and unique opportunity for kids to explore and learn about different types of vehicles and equipment. There will be emergency, construction, transportation, utility, delivery and many other kinds of vehicles! There will also be a helicopter landing at noon!
Children will be allowed to touch, climb, sit in the driver’s seat, pose for photos and ask tons of questions about their favorite vehicles all in a safe and supervised environment! We will designate 10:30am until 11:00am as the 30 minutes that children will be allowed to honk the horns! Accompanying personnel will teach the children about the equipment/vehicles and how they help our local community. Word on the street is that they may be passing out some goodies as well! Along with all the fun vehicles there will be concessions, inflatables, music and more!
