YWCA La Crosse Presents: Cinematic Sisters Night with Now and Then

In 1903, before the nation saw them as equals, Coulee Region women and men united to take action to help their most vulnerable neighbors and voted to found YWCA La Crosse, which was later officialized in 1906. For decades, YWCA La Crosse provided programs to inspire girls to grow into leaders of tomorrow, advocate for women and vulnerable populations, and empower women to work toward self-sufficiency.
For over a century, YWCA La Crosse has continued its mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Its mission is accomplished through the impactful programs of our different programs: Childcare, Supportive Housing, Restorative Practices & Community Education.
A portion of ticket sales from this event will go towards continuing the YWCA’s work in the community!

Now and Then (1995): Waxing nostalgic about the bittersweet passage from childhood to puberty, four childhood girlfriends — Teeny, Chrissy, Samantha and Roberta — recall the magical summer of 1970. During their walk down memory lane, they reconcile experiences with boys, secrets, bullies and more.
