JULY
Riverfest 4-7

Country Boom 13-17

Three Rivers Roleo 14
Roll on over to Onalaska and watch some competitive log rollers get to work on the water. Spectators can also enjoy live music, yummy BBQ, and cold beer. www.threeriversroleo.com
La Crosse Interstate Fair 18-22
This is everything you hope your county fair will be—good food, fun rides, cute animals, and lively entertainment. The best part? Admission and parking are both FREE. www.lacrosseinterstatefair.com
Big Blue Dragon Boat Races 20-21
Held on the Black River in La Crosse, this event promotes healthy living through demonstration. Community members face off in a colorful rowing competition you won’t want to miss. www.mayoclinichealthsystem.org
AAUW Art Fair on the Green 28-29
This well-attended professional art fair is one of the largest in the area. Browse and buy on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. www.lacrosse-wi.aauw.net
AUGUST
Irish Fest 10-12
St. Patrick’s Day a little too far away? Try Irish Fest, held on La Crosse’s Southside Fest Grounds each year. If you like Irish tunes and a good time, this is the place to be. www.irishfestlacrosse.org
Kornfest 17-19
Chicken and buttered corn are the top treats at Kornfest, Holmen’s local festival. Also enjoy the fireworks, parade, carnival, and swap meet. www.facebook.com/kornfest
Great River Folk Festival 24-26
Artists unite for a weekend of crafts, bluegrass, and kids activities. Held annually at Riverside Park in La Crosse, folk fans and families should put this on the calendar. www.greatriverfolkfest.org

La Crosse Area Bicycle Festival 31-Sept 3
Whatever kind of bike you ride, you’ll find a friend at this festival. It’s a free, four-day event centered in downtown La Crosse. Join in on a ride of your choosing—they vary in both length and terrain. www.bicyclelacrosse.com
