Are you looking for a fun, free kids event with plenty of opportunities to try something new? Join us for the 13th Annual Youth Outdoor Fest at Pettibone Park, 700N Pettibone Drive, La Crosse, WI, on July 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Kids will have the opportunity to go fishing, shoot a bow, paddle a canoe/kayak or paddleboard, cast a fly rod, learn how to identify furs, fish and birds, play games and much more, all in one day and all for FREE! 

Youth Outdoor Fest is hosted by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service -Midwest Fisheries Center, La Crosse Parks, Recreation & Forestry, Fox 25/48, Genoa National Fish Hatchery, and Friends of the Upper Mississippi. The event is free, equipment will be provided, and children will receive many hands-on experiences for the whole family. 

Exhibitors and experts will attend from federal, state, and local agencies, as well as local businesses and environmental clubs. Guests include the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service – Fisheries and Refuges, U.S. Geological Survey, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, La Crosse Parks, Recreation & Forestry, Chaseburg Rod and Gun Club, Trout Unlimited, Cabela’s, Effigy Mounds National Monument, La Crosse Area Bee Keepers, Fox 25/48, and many others.
