18th International Youth Media Summit 2023 – Opening Ceremony

The IYMS 2023 Summit is bringing young filmmakers and diplomats from 22 countries to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for two weeks. There they will create short films that will shine a light on urgent global issues, and serve to inspire change while celebrating the best of humanity.
At the Opening Ceremony, we will give our delegates from 22 countries a warm welcome to La Crosse as we kick off the 2023 Summit. La Crosse musicians will provide music during the Ceremony and for the Post-Ceremony dance party, open to all attendees.

Carol Abrahamzon, Executive Director of the Mississippi Valley Conservancy
Keynote Address by IYMS delegate Arman from Afghanistan. A story of courage, determination and community support after the fall of Kabul
in 2021.
