| Join us at the Pump House Regional Arts Center to celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Upper Mississippi National Wildlife and Fish Refuge. Sponsored by the Friends of Pool 7 & 8, the Pump House will present two performances of ‘A Visit from Will Dilg & Scenes from our Mighty Mississippi’ with guest speaker, Steven Marking. Tickets are now available for the matinee performance at 1:30 PM on February 22, 2024, and for the evening performance at 7:30 PM on February 23, 2024. Both will take place in the upstairs theater of the Pump House at 119 King Street in downtown La Crosse, WI. It’s been five years since Steven Marking has performed in La Crosse. ‘A Visit from Will Dilg & Scenes from Our Mighty Mississippi’ is a magical journey of song, storytelling and visual imagery in honor of America’s greatest river. Learn the fascinating story of Will Dilg, a founding member of the Izaak Walton League and a driving force behind the creation of our Upper Mississippi National Wildlife and Fish Refuge. Then take in the beautiful landscapes captured in photographs by Steven Marking. There will also be a collection of Mississippi River inspired art pieces by Casey Bennett, Lori Ehlke, Carl Homstad, Carol Keene, and Peter Mutschler on display in the Front Gallery of the Pump House. Tickets can be purchased online at thepumphouse.org, by calling 608-785-1434, or by visiting the Pump House Box office at 119 King Street in La Crosse. The box office is open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturdays. Hours extend to 7:00 pm on Tuesdays. Tickets are also available at the door. Doors open 30 minutes before the performances start.
