The Fish Are Biting this Summer
Our summer fishing program for kids, Fishing on the Refuge, is back for another fun season. Every Thursday and Sunday through August 4, kids ages 15 and under can fish for FREE at the National Eagle Center. We supply the fishing poles, tackle, and life vests allowing kids to experience the fun of fishing on the Mississippi River and learn about the importance of good environmental stewardship by using lead-free fishing tackle.
