Fuddy Meers

The University of Wisconsin La Crosse Department of Theatre and Dance proudly presents the chaotic and hilarious production, Fuddy Meers. Performances will show November 2-4 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees on November 5 at 2:00 p.m. in the Frederick Theatre, Morris Hall on the UWL campus (1615 State Street, La Crosse).

Fuddy Meers is a poignant and brutal comedy that traces one woman’s attempt to regain her memory while surrounded by alarmingly bizarre characters. Claire, an amnesiac who awakens each morning as a blank slate on which her husband and teenage son must imprint the facts of her life. One morning Claire is abducted by a limping, lisping man who claims her husband wants to kill her. Claire’s journey gets more complicated when a dimwitted thug with a foul-mouthed hand puppet shows up. Every twist and turn in this funhouse plot bring Claire closer to revealing her past life and everything she thought she’d forgotten. The play culminates in a cacophony of revelations, proving that everything is not what it appears to be.

Tickets go on sale online beginning October 1, 2023 at www.uwlax.edu/theatre-and-dance. In person/phone ticket sales begin October 30 at 1:00 p.m. Box office hours beginning October 30 are 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and one hour before show times. Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for senior/non UWL students and $8 for UW-L students; call (608) 785-6696. All tickets printed at the box office or held at will call will incur an additional fee.
