What a wonderful book. To be honest I didn’t expect to like this but, but it is a book I will show and talk about to anyone who will listen. What a wonderful book, precious, perfectly told. I’m an illustrator and I thought the way the book used the absence of color as part of the story speaking so deeply into my sole and slowly I had to listen. I was truly moved. I’m not even expressing myself properly.
This is a rhyming book smartly told with heart. Very much like The giving tree.
