The University of Wisconsin La Crosse Department of Theatre and Dance proudly presents The Wolves, a story of the insight and energy in what it takes for young women to come of age. Performances will show December 1-2 & 7-9 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees on December 3 & 10 at 2:00 p.m. in the Toland Theatre, Lowe Center for the Arts on the UWL campus (333 N. 16th Street, La Crosse).

One of the most-talked about new Off-Broadway plays of the last twenty years, and a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Sarah DeLappe’s The Wolves follows nine teenage girls—members of an indoor soccer team—as they warm up, engage in banter and one-upmanship, and fight battles big and small with one another and themselves. Amidst the wins and losses, rivalries and tragedies, they are warriors tested and ready—they are the Wolves. The Wolves is a triumph of insight and energy into what it takes for young women to come of age.
