Welcome to the Famous Riverside Park!
The famous Riverside Park of La Crosse is the center of an active community. At the confluence of three rivers, Riverside Park is designed for active lifestyles and for those that want to relax and watch the river slowly pass by. The park is just blocks away from Historic Downtown La Crosse’s restaurants and shopping stops, the La Crosse Convention Center, and a multitude of lodging options. Riverside Park is both a signature sight and prized jewel of the La Crosse Region.
Historic Downtown La Crosse:
At the north end of the park, guests enjoy strolling through the Riverside International Friendship Gardens. La Crosse enjoys thriving relationships with sister cities, business partners, students, and people from around the world. To celebrate the success of these partnerships, and build a tribute to the culture and traditions of our worldwide friends, local volunteers have worked together to create and maintain the Riverside International Friendship Gardens nestled within Riverside Park. Featuring an intimate coy pond, unique plants from all over the world, sculptures, a water wheel, and views of the Mississippi River, the garden is a must see when wandering through the renowned park.

La Crosse Queen:
The park is also home of the La Crosse Queen Paddlewheel Cruises. Cruise back in time on their modern-day replica of grand river boats that coasted up and down the Mississippi River in the early 1900’s. The Queen cruises and explores the Mississippi River with guests during the warm months of the year and has become a legendary experience for both locals and visitors alike. From Pizza Cruises, a Sunday Bruch Cruise, or a classic Sightseeing Cruise, the La Crosse Queen offers a unique view and perspective of the La Crosse Region and Mississippi Valley.
Depending on the season, visitors may be lucky enough to view one of the large steamboats or Viking Cruises that take port at the levee centered in the Park.
With epic views, special experiences, eagle sightings, and fabulous accessibility, Riverside Park is calling! Make sure to have your cameras ready!
